Dontrelle Willis, who won the 2003 Rookie of the Year Award, retired on Monday with a 72-69 career record and 5.02 ERA. His final appearance in the big leagues was last September when he pitched for the Reds. He had signed with Colorado in the offseason but was unable to reclaim his old form. (Eliot J. Last night, Giancarlo Stanton showed off his reality-shaping powers, damaging a scoreboard with a 438 foot grand slam off of Jamie Moyer.
Oh yeah, and Moyer’s pitch, which left his hand at just over 70 mph and arrived at just 66.4 mph, was then sent out at 122 mph, which must have involved such forces and torques from Stanton that I cannot and will not understand.
I hope you feel good, Giancarlo, for embarrassing an old man who just wanted to play some baseball. Highlight here.

Bumgarner: Just went out and executed my pitches, kept the ball down, and the guys played good defense behind me.
Moyer: Sorry guys, no time for an interview. Gotta make it to Sizzler by 4:30. Place fills up fast!
Wilson: My arm just fell off. (p.s.: BLAWK OWPS)
